1. What areas do you serve?

We serve most of Eastern North Carolina and are happy to travel! All of our packages include free delivery for the first 25 miles- this means free delivery for all of Pitt County and parts of Beaufort, Edgecombe, Lenoir, Greene, and Craven Counties in our standard party package prices. (See map).

If you’re outside our typical area, we’re still happy to plan your dream party! An additional $5 per mile applies for areas beyond our service zone.

2. Is your company insured?

Yes! Backyard Birthdays NC is a fully insured LLC, and our goal is to make every party fun, safe, and memorable.

3. What is required to book a party?

A signed contract and the initial deposit are required to confirm your booking.
Prior to the start of the party the signed safety agreement & liability waiver must be signed & returned.
Parties must be held on private property, or with written permission of the premises/HOA/landlord to set up a bounce house or nerf bunkers.
If renting property, written landlord permission is required for inflatable setup.

4. Food & Beverages

All food and drinks are delivered in original packaging.
We work with reputable bakeries for cupcakes and can customize as requested.

5. Inflatables (Bounce Houses & Nerf Bunkers)

All inflatables meet current ASTM F2374 safety standards and are regularly inspected.
Setup requirements:
- Flat area free of debris and animal waste
- Clear of trees, power lines, and other hazards
- Outlet within 100 feet
- Water source and hose if water bags are needed
- No underground utilities where stakes will be placed
- Bounce houses require a minimum 30x30 flat cleared area
Weather restrictions:
- Bounce houses/nerf bunkers cannot be used if wind exceeds 15 mph (gusts or sustained) or if there’s thunder/lightning in the area.
- Golf course use is restricted if severe weather is present in the area.

6. Deposits & Payments

50% nonrefundable deposit required to hold your date/time.
Remaining 50% is due 14 days before the party and is also nonrefundable with exception of the refund policy below.

7. Weather & Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling: Give 7 days’ notice to move your party to a future date with no penalty or fee. All parties must occur within a year of the original booking date
Wind over 15 mph on party day:
1. Move party indoors with an extra activity provided (craft, game, or cotton candy/snow cone machine) at no extra cost, or
2. Keep your party as it is, minus the inflatable and receive a $100 refund for the loss of use of the inflatable
3. or reschedule for a future date (credit valid for 1 year).
Named storms, natural disasters, or government lockdowns:
- Option to reschedule with $50 credit to be used for an enhancement add on, or
- Option for a full refund.

8. Can you do other themes?

Yes! We can customize almost any theme and due to the wide variety of party supplies/rentals we have, we can often do it cheaper than if you were to buy everything on your own! Customized theme packages have a minimum of $300. If you would like a detailed mock-up of customized theme decor there is a $25 design fee before the mock up is completed.

9. Do you offer any specials or discounts?

Sibling Discount- Book all of your kids parties with us and save! 10% off second party, 20% off third party, 30% off fourth+ parties.
Referral- Book a party at the same time as a friend and both save 10%
Monthly- Occasionally other offers will be sent out to email subscribers and Facebook Followers- these may be a percentage off a certain party, a free enhancement, a gift for the birthday child, a drawing for a party upgrade, the sky is the limit. Follow us to save!
